Cautions for Installation of 4.3 Temperature Sensitive Cable
1) Temperature sensitive cables should be installed without severe extrusion and sheaths are not easily damaged by sharp objects outside.
2) Temperature-sensitive cables should avoid contact with materials that absorb heat and delay temperature in the monitoring area. Fixture parts that are in direct contact should be non-metallic materials. Bad parts.
3) The minimum bending radius of temperature-sensitive cable is 15 mm.
4) When laying temperature-sensitive cables with cable straps, rubber sleeves should be used for protection.
5) The fixed distance between the two fulcrums of the temperature-sensitive cable should be in the range of 0.6-1.2m.
4.4 Notes for Installation of Terminal Box and Connection Box
When installing terminal boxes and junction boxes, the following principles must be followed to ensure that the protection level of each part of the detector is reached. Otherwise, the reliability of the detector will be reduced, the performance of the detector will be reduced, and the detector will cause false alarm or malfunction.
1) When the terminal box and junction box are installed indoors, they should be fixed on the wall or metal bracket near the site, and the height is about 1.5m from the surface.
2) After the connection of temperature sensitive cable with junction box and terminal box is finished, the cable tightening joint should be tightened clockwise to ensure its sealing performance.
3) When loosening or tightening the cable tightening joint, the rubber sealing sleeve in the cable tightening joint should be set straight to prevent the box body from falling off or deforming due to the rubber sealing sleeve.
4) When installing the outer cover of the terminal box and the junction box shell, the four installation bolts on the outer cover should be tightened evenly to ensure that the sealing ring of the box body deforms evenly and seals well.
5) Punch holes or install other parts on terminal box and junction box housing; terminal box and junction box should avoid installing in extremely humid or water-soaked places.

The terminal resistors of the following specifications are provided in the terminal box. Users can choose through the short-circuit ring according to the requirements of the input module. If there is no suitable terminal resistor, the short-circuit ring can be pulled out and the terminal resistors provided with the input module can be connected to terminals SA1 and SB1.
The optional terminal resistors are 2.4K, 3.3K, 4.7K and 10K.
The wiring must be carried out strictly according to the instructions and confirmed correctly; otherwise, the stability of the detector will be affected and even the detector will be damaged.

5. Operation and maintenance and common troubleshooting
L Operation and Maintenance
1) Routine inspection of the appearance of the linear temperature detector and the operation of the fixture is carried out regularly (every six months is recommended).
2) Put the detectors in a certain proportion regularly (5% per year is recommended) and do the simulated fire alarm test. The method is as follows: after the normal patrol inspection of the alarm controller, use boiled water (alarm temperature is below 90 C) or wax fire to heat a temperature-sensitive cable not less than 1 m long from the terminal box 500 mm. The alarm controller should report the fire alarm signal. After the test, the damaged parts should be cut off and merged. Re-connect the detector and take necessary fire safety measures when doing fire alarm test (Note: During the test, the flame of the candle should be stable and continuously heated uniformly).
4) Insulation resistance of detector should be checked periodically (recommended every two years) with 500V shaker meter (both ends of temperature-sensitive cable must be disconnected from the circuit). The value of insulation resistance should be greater than 20M, otherwise the reason should be found out and the temperature-sensitive cable should be replaced if necessary.
L Common troubleshooting
1) When the detector has a fault, it is usually open-circuit fault. Find out the position of the broken circuit and take corresponding measures.
2) When there is a joint in the middle of the detector, the temperature-sensitive cable junction box must be used, and wiring should be installed as required to ensure the stable operation of the detector.
3) For detectors with occasional false alarm or false alarm, records should be made, and the causes should be found from the following aspects to eliminate the faults:
Check the sealing of junction box and terminal box.
Check whether the sheath of temperature sensitive cable is damaged or not.
Check whether the terminal connections of the junction boxes and terminal boxes are firm and reliable.
Check whether the detector is well grounded.
After the above checks confirm that there are no problems, we should consider whether the temperature sensitive cable is affected by electromagnetic interference. At this time, we should contact the manufacturer of the input module to solve the problem, or use the isolated signal converter produced by our company to solve it.
